COLLISION REPAIR SCAN TOOL
ONE TOOL FOR PRE-SCAN, POST-SCAN, OE WORK AND ADAS CALIBRATIONS
Pre-scan, post-scan, run dealer-level OE software, and order ADAS calibrations from one device. DriveSafe combines fast aftermarket scanning with expert-assisted OE diagnostics and remote calibration support, all pushed straight into your CCC estimate. Keep the vehicle in-house, document every job for reimbursement and stop subletting to the dealer.
WHAT IS DRIVESAFE?
DriveSafe is a collision repair scan tool built specifically for the collision industry. It is a 10-inch Windows tablet that combines in-house aftermarket diagnostics with remote OE programming and calibration delivered through the Opus IVS technician network.
Most collision shops juggle four or more separate scan tools. DriveSafe combines them into one device:
- Fast, accurate aftermarket pre-scan and post-scan (IVSQuickScan)
- Expert-assisted OE scans run by Opus technicians (IVSTrue-OE)
- Access to 47 OEM software titles, kept current to 2026, with no annual software update fees
- VIN-specific ADAS calibration requirements surfaced right in the tool (IVSMAP ADAS Checklist)
- Pre-installed CCC integration, so scans and invoices push straight into your estimate
IS DRIVESAFE RIGHT FOR YOUR SHOP?
DriveSafe is ideal if you:
- Have to pre-scan and post-scan to get paid or to pass a DRP-network or certification audit
- Want to capture the scan reimbursement on every job instead of leaving it on the table
- Are subletting calibrations and programming to the dealer and losing days and margin
- Are tired of paying annual software update fees on your existing scan tool
- Run into vehicles your current tool can’t fully cover and can’t predict what’s coming in tomorrow
- Want to bring ADAS calibrations in-house instead of subletting
- Already use ADAS Map and want the tool that executes what it identifies
CORE FEATURES
FAST, ACCURATE IN-HOUSE SCANNING
Run aftermarket pre-scans and post-scans yourself, right in the bay. IVSQuickScan gives your technicians:
- Pre-scan and post-scan at the aftermarket level
- Clear codes, key and ignition cycles, steering angle relearns, sensor resets
- Live data, fault read, sensors and actuations, and module information through the IVS Repair tab
Free for DriveSafe customers, with no per-scan charge. When your techs are tied up or it’s 5 PM on a Friday, your shop can still scan the vehicle and look at live data on its own.
EXPERT-ASSISTED OE SCANS
When a job needs true OE-level work, an Opus technician remotes into the tool and runs manufacturer software on the vehicle for you. You get a dealer-level scan, clear-codes-after-scan and technician repair recommendations bundled in, and a documented report and invoice that push back into your estimate. No dealer trip, no sublet, no maintaining 47 software subscriptions yourself.
OE SOFTWARE FOR 47 MANUFACTURERS
No single scan tool can do it all, and you can’t predict what vehicle rolls in tomorrow. Through the Opus technician network, DriveSafe gives you access to 47 OEM software titles, kept current to 2026 by Opus. You don’t buy, install, or maintain the software, and you don’t pay the annual update fees that come with most aftermarket tools.
VIN-SPECIFIC ADAS REQUIREMENTS
Powered by ADAS Map, the tool reads your estimate line items and shows exactly which ADAS systems and calibrations the vehicle requires, whether targets are needed, and whether Opus can support the calibration remotely, before you open the hood. When work is required, an ORDER CALIBRATION button launches the request flow.
CCC INTEGRATION BUILT IN
About 99% of the shops in this market write in CCC, and DriveSafe comes with CCC integration pre-installed. Write your estimate car-side, upload photos and notes, and push scan reports and marked-up, billable invoices into your CCC portal with one button. Quick invoices mean getting paid faster.
HOW IT WORKS
1. VEHICLE ARRIVES AND YOU WRITE THE ESTIMATE
A vehicle comes in after a collision and you write your preliminary estimate in CCC. ADAS Map scrubs the estimate in the background and identifies potential ADAS calibration requirements per the OEM.
2. PRE-SCAN WITH DRIVESAFE
Plug in, follow the wizard, and run the pre-scan. Think of it as the vehicle’s physical: it documents the job for reimbursement and surfaces what’s actually going on in the vehicle’s systems so you add the right line items.
3. PUSH THE SCAN INTO YOUR ESTIMATE
The scan report and a marked-up, billable invoice push straight into CCC.
4. ORDER CALIBRATION OR REQUEST HELP
When calibrations or OE programming are required, tap ORDER CALIBRATION or REQUEST HELP. Enter a callback cell number, authorize with a quick DocuSign step, and an Opus technician texts and calls to coordinate, then remotes in with your go-ahead. Your card isn’t charged at submission; billing happens after the service is rendered and is itemized on the invoice.
5. POST-SCAN AND DELIVER
After repairs and calibrations, run a post-scan to confirm the vehicle is back to pre-collision spec, push the documentation to CCC, and deliver to your customer.
Every scan, calibration, and invoice is documented and pushed back into your CCC estimate.
